SALONPAS® GEL can be used for children 2 years of age and over. For SALONPAS® PAIN RELIEF PATCH and SALONPAS® ARTHTIS PAIN, children under 18 yeas of age should not use. For other SALONPAS® products, children should be12 years old age and over.

A doctor must be consulted before use during the first 6 months of pregnancy. The patch may not be used during the last 3 months of pregnancy because it may cause complications.

You can wear a single SALONPAS® patch for up to 8 hours.

You can wear a single SALONPAS® PAIN RELIEF PATCH/SALONPAS® ARTHTIS PAIN for up to 12 hours.

You can wear a single SALONPAS® PAIN RELIEF PATCH/SALONPAS® ARTHTIS PAIN for up to 12 hours and other SALONPAS® patch for up to 8 hours.

With SALONPAS® products you have the advantage of using an analgesic medicine without the worry of upsetting your stomach and direct applicaton to the site of pain.

SALONPAS® products deliver analgesics such as menthol, capsaicin and especially methyl salicylate –a powerful analgesic– directly to the affected site through the skin, bringing relief from aches and pains.

SALONPAS® products relieve aches and pains in the muscles and joints, particularly those associated with backache, arthritis, strains, bruises and sprains.

It is known that a diuretic drug is less effective if a systemic dose of NSAID is given. Although SALONPAS® Pain Relief Patch/SALONPAS® Arthritis Pain is for external use only, please see your doctor.

The description follows the NSAID warning for a systemic dose: At least during hospitalization prior to, and following surgery, please do not use it. As for the periods before and after hospitalization, please consult your doctor. The risk regarding heart surgery, heart disease, age difference, etc. is not clear.

14 days after a package of SALONPAS® Pain Relief Patch/SALONPAS® Arthritis Pain is opened, the active ingredients of SALONPAS® Pain Relief Patch/SALONPAS® Arthritis Pain may have evaporated and you may not be able to obtain a good effect. So please do not use such SALONPAS® Pain Relief Patch/SALONPAS® Arthritis Pain.

If you use multiple medicines for external use, they may tend to cause skin irritation or rashes. Therefore, please do not use other external medicines when using SALONPAS® Pain Relief Patch/SALONPAS® Arthritis Pain.

It is known that a person who consumes more than 3 drinks of alcohol with a systemic administration of NSAID can tend to have a gastric hemorrhage. So precaution is necessary even for an external medicine. Please note that there have been no cases reported regarding gastric hemorrhage caused by SALONPAS® Pain Relief Patch/SALONPAS® Arthritis Pain and SALONPAS®.

So far, there have been no reports of high blood pressure due to using SALONPAS® Pain Relief Patch/SALONPAS® Arthritis Pain or SALONPAS®.

If you touch the mucous membrane on your eyes or inside your mouth with a residue of these ingredients on your hands, it is possible that you may experience a stinging sensation or irritation. Please wash your hands thoroughly.
