How soon should I expect relief?
Pain relief generally occurs within one hour of application, but in some individuals, pain relief may take longer. Some individuals may not experience pain relief until several hours after applying the patch.
Can I reapply SALONPAS® to another site after I’ve peeled it off?
There is no problem reapplying a SALONPAS® patch to another site just after you’ve applied and peeled it off. After several hours it will lose its adhesiveness and fall off easily. In this case, please use a fresh SALONPAS®.
Can children use SALONPAS® products?
SALONPAS® GEL can be used for children 2 years of age and over. For SALONPAS® PAIN RELIEF PATCH and SALONPAS® ARTHTIS PAIN, children under 18 yeas of age should not use. For other SALONPAS® products, children should be12 years old age and over.
How long can I leave SALONPAS® patches on?
You can wear a single SALONPAS® PAIN RELIEF PATCH/SALONPAS® ARTHTIS PAIN for up to 12 hours and other SALONPAS® patch for up to 8 hours.
How do SALONPAS® products work?
SALONPAS® products deliver analgesics such as menthol, capsaicin and especially methyl salicylate –a powerful analgesic– directly to the affected site through the skin, bringing relief from aches and pains.
What kinds of pain do SALONPAS® products help relieve?
SALONPAS® products relieve aches and pains in the muscles and joints, particularly those associated with backache, arthritis, strains, bruises and sprains.
Does SALONPAS® work for joints?
Yes, SALONPAS® relieves both joint and muscle aches and pains.
Is there an odorless or odorfree SALONPAS®?
If you prefer odorless SALONPAS®, we have a product called SALONPAS® HOT. SALONPAS® HOT is a large size pain relieving patch and contains Capsaicin- Capsicum extract as the active ingredient and gives you warm sensation. Is there a SALONPAS® that has neutral color ?
SALONPAS® PAIN RELIEF PATCH and SALONPAS® ARTHRITIS PAIN is available in neutral beige. Also, these products are ultra-thin and flexible. Therefore, they are not noticable and fit your body like a second skin.
Is it harmful to use an expired SALONPAS®?
Active ingredients in expired products may have lost effectiveness due to evaporation. Expired patches may not have adequate adhesiveness. Please use fresh SALONPAS® products prior to the labeled expiration dates.
What is the shelf-life/expiration date of SALONPAS®?
The shelf-life of SALONPAS® products are 3 years from the production date. Also, the expiration date is indicated on the package.For example, EXP. 02/2013 means expiration date of the product is February, 2013.
Can I use SALONPAS® while breast feeding?
Please consult your doctor before using SALONPAS® while breast feeding.
What is the difference between SALONPAS® PAIN RELIEF PATCH and SALONPAS® ARTHRITIS PAIN?
SALONPAS® PAIN RELIEF PATCH and SALONPAS® ARTHRITIS Pain contain the same products but have different names for marketing purposes.
